Permanent deletion

Enter your number on the official account deletion page and confirm. All cloud chats, contacts and files are erased and cannot be restored; transfer groups you own first, and channels lose their owner.

Auto-deletion

  • Settings → Privacy → Delete My Account If Away, from one month to one year;
  • Good if you worry about an idle account;
  • Every login resets the timer.

Before you go

  1. Export chats and files you want using desktop;
  2. Save important files locally;
  3. Transfer or close groups and channels you own.
