The macOS build is a universal binary: Apple silicon and Intel Macs both run it natively, with no Rosetta translation.

Install

  1. Download the .dmg and open it;
  2. Drag Telegram into Applications;
  3. If macOS warns about the developer, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

Tips

  • Enable "follow system appearance" under Settings → Appearance;
  • Drag files into the chat window to send them in bulk;
  • With notifications on, you can reply straight from Notification Center.

Uninstall

Move Telegram to the Trash from Applications — your chats live in the cloud and stay intact.
