Three entry points

  • Global search: type at the top of the chat list to search contacts and messages at once;
  • In-chat search: tap the name at the top of a chat and search only there;
  • Type filters: switch results to Files, Links, Photos or Voice.

Advanced

  1. Tap the date in a chat to jump to a specific day;
  2. Mark messages with tags such as #expenses and search the tag later;
  3. Type @ when searching contacts to jump to usernames.

Note

Search relies on local and cloud indexes, so deleted messages will not appear. Secret chats are never uploaded and can only be searched locally.
