Download
Search Telegram Messenger in the App Store and make sure the developer is Telegram FZ-LLC, then tap Get and wait for the install.
Sign up
- Open the app, pick your country and enter the number (+86 for mainland China);
- Enter the SMS code, or request a voice call if it does not arrive;
- Set a name and optionally a photo and username.
Security
- Settings → Privacy → unlock with Face ID to enable biometrics;
- Settings → Notifications to toggle message previews;
- Settings → Data and Storage to enable low data mode.
