Install
- Pick Telegram Desktop for Windows in our download centre and save the installer;
- Run it, choose the setup language and click Next;
- Use Browse to change the folder if you want (the default needs no admin rights);
- Tick Run Telegram and click Finish.
First login
Enter your phone number with country code (+86 for mainland China), then fill in the SMS code. If you are already signed in on your phone, you can simply scan the QR code.
Common issues
- Installer blocked: whitelist it after confirming it comes from official sources;
- Missing runtime: install the latest Visual C++ redistributable;
- Interface in English: Settings → Language, search Chinese and apply the pack.
