Creating and managing a Telegram group

Create

1. New Message → New Group and pick initial members;
2. Set a name and photo, optionally make it public with a custom link;
3. Configure permissions and admins under Manage Group.

Public vs private

• Public groups are searchable with a short link — good for communities;
• Private groups are invite-only — good for internal teams.

Management

• Upgrading to a supergroup raises the limit to 200,000 members;
• Give admins specific rights rather than full power;
• Slow mode prevents flooding.
